Creating Channel Partner Portal Internet Users

If you are a Channel Partner Manager, you can create company contacts and Channel Partner Portal Internet users. When you create a portal internet user, you give the user a logon ID (their e-mail address) to access the portal under your company's account. You also assign them one of three levels of privileges:

Channel Partner Manager (highest level)
Channel Partner Employee with Buy and Sell (Access to customer information and future access to quotes)
Channel Partner Employee without Buy and Sell (No access to quotes)

Important:

The Channel Partner Manager should be assigned all thee roles. Otherwise, the CP Manager will be unable to reassign leads and opportunities to other employees within the channel partner's organization.
The Channel Partner Employee with Buy/Sell needs both CP Employee with Buy/Sell and CP Employee roles.
The Channel Partner Employee only needs the CP Employee role.
