Creating Channel Partner Portal Internet Users
If you are a Channel Partner Manager, you can create company contacts and
Channel Partner Portal Internet users. When you create a portal internet user, you give the user a
logon ID (their e-mail address) to access the portal under your company's account. You
also assign them one of three levels of privileges:
- Channel Partner Manager (highest level)
- Channel Partner Employee with Buy and Sell (Access to customer information and future access to quotes)
- Channel Partner Employee without Buy and Sell (No access to quotes)
Important:
- The Channel Partner Manager should be assigned all thee roles. Otherwise, the CP Manager will be unable to reassign leads and opportunities to other employees within the channel partner's organization.
- The Channel Partner Employee with Buy/Sell needs both CP Employee with Buy/Sell and CP Employee roles.
- The Channel Partner Employee only needs the CP Employee role.
