Slow performance when FRx reports are generated in version 6.7.

Steps to Duplicate:

FRx for Sage PFW, Sage MAS 90, and Sage MAS 200
The system configurations may or may not be a factor but this issue was duplicated in customer data with the following system configurations:

• FRx is installed on the local workstation, including the Sysdata folder.
• Network Bandwidth: 10.0 Mbps
• Workstation: Windows 2000 SP 4, 392 RAM

1. Launch FRx version 6.7.
2. Open File / Open / Catalog.
3. Select a Catalog ID.
4. Generate Financial and Account level, Posted and Unposted, dated 9/30/04 to Enhanced XML DrillDown Viewer.
5. Notice that the report can take over three hours to generate. The same report generated in 21-23 minutes on FRx version 6.5.152.

Expected Behavior:

Reports should generate at approximately the same time regardless of version.

Possible Workarounds:
For Sage PFW, Sage MAS 90, and Sage MAS 200:

1. Confirm that the FRx 6.7 system requirements are met.
   On the Windows Start menu, point to Programs and then to FRx 6.7. Click Table of Contents, and then click System Requirements.
2. Exclude the accounting files and FRx files from being actively scanned by antivirus software.
   Note: Sage Software Customer Support is not responsible for assisting in this task. Assistance by a qualified network technician may be necessary.
3. Install FRx in a local client configuration.
   A local client installation reduces the network resources required to generate reports and may increase FRx performance. See How to install FRx 6.7.
4. Upgrade to FRx Professional or FRx Enterprise, and setup a dedicated report server.
   Contact your Sage Software sales representative for upgrade information.
   Note: Setting up a dedicated server does not necessarily increase FRx performance. When the dedicated server processes the report generation, workstations can be used for other tasks.
