Registering on the Customer Portal as an Individual Overview
You can register as an
individual associated with a company. When you register as an
individual associated with a company,
you enter your personal data into the registration form. This data
includes your name, address, phone numbers, e-mail address (this is
your user ID), and a password that you create. After you
successfully save the data, you are registered on the Customer
Portal.
Note: When you click
the My Profile link to update your profile, the address fields display
the company address information.
Before you can register on the Customer Portal, you must have a valid
e-mail address. If you are registering as an individual associated
with a company, you must also enter the Sage Reference Number or
Company ID for that company.
Important If
you do not enter the Sage Reference Number or Company ID when you
register as an individual, you will not be associated with a company
and will not have access to product information or to protected Knowledgebase content that relates to.the products you own.
In the
Customer Data – Person window, you enter personal data in the required
fields. The Customer Number field prepopulates with the data
you entered on the initial Registration page.
ImportantThe Email and Password data entered here become your login on the Customer Portal.
If no errors are encountered, the message
You have successfully registered
displays. You can click Log In to log in to the Customer Portal. You
are prompted to enter the email address and password you just
registered with.
Now the Welcome page greeting displays your
name and the Log Off link. From here, you can click the appropriate tab
to perform a Knowledgebase search or an advanced search, view
documents, view any subscriptions you have, use Self Service to create
Service Tickets or Support Tickets, view forums, or view your profile.
