How to add newly created GL Accounts to Financial Reports in Sage MAS Intelligence

Possible Resolution:

  1. Open Report Manager.
  2. Create a new Folder. Open the Financials Folder. Copy the Financial Reports 2-0 report and Paste into the newly created folder.
  3. Run the Copy of the Financial Reports 2-0.
  4. If you have recently added GL Accounts, you may receive a pop-up window while running your Financial Report in SMI. It will notify you of any new GL Accounts and if you would like to insert them into the reports. Click 'Yes'.
  5. In Excel, Select the Menu tab and run the desired report. (Ex. Income Statement or Balance Sheet).
  6. In Excel, select the report tab. Expand the Desired Row Group.
  7. Click where you would like the new GL Account to be added. (Note: GL Account will be inserted above the row selected).
  8. From the Menu bar, select 'Add-In', 'Report Tools'.
  9. Select 'Add Accounts'.
  10. The 'Select the Accounts to Insert' window should appear.
  11. Select the drop down on the top of the window next to 'All' and select Income or Balance.
  12. When finished click 'Insert'.
  13. Create and Link Template when finished adding the GL Accounts.

For reports using the Financial Reports Designer:

  1. Generate the Designer Report
  2. On the BI Tools tab, click the Refresh Data button
  3. The new account(s) will be inserted into the appropriate section of the report in numerical order
