By default License Manager uses DIRECT Internet access in order to register your product, the error is caused if your Internet access is through a proxy vs being direct, to resolve:
- First find out about your proxy setting, the best way to eliminate errors is to copy proxy setting from Internet explorer
- In Internet Explorer choose Select Tools and click on Internet Options
- Select the Connections tab and then select LAN Settings
- Notice the proxy settings in your Internet explorer.
- Now in License Manager go to File, and click on Configure Internet Connection
- Choose Proxy and enter your proxy setting.
- Select Apply and try the registration again.
