"Unspecified error:DB_E_ErrorsIn Command (0x80040E14)" occurs when drilling down in Sage MAS Intelligence if a posting comment is over 255 characters.
Steps to Duplicate:
In ABC company:
- Expand General Ledger and Main. Double-click General Journal Entry.
- Create a journal entry with the following information, and click Accept:
- Source Journal = JE
- Entry Number = 000020
- Posting Date =
- Journal Comment = Any text over 255 characters.
- Account No = 100-00-00
- Debit = 15.00
- Account No = 105-00-01
- Credit = 15.00
- Click the Print button.
- Click Preview and then update the General Journal.
- Open Report Manager.
- Expand the Financials object.
- Select the General Ledger Transaction Details 2-0 (MAS) and click the Run button.
- In the Enter Report Parameters window, enter the following:
- Fiscal Year = 2010
- Fiscal Period = 01
- Fiscal Period = 12
- Click OK. "Unspecified error:DB_E_ERRORSINCOMMAND (0x80040E14) Number -2147217900 Driver Error Unknown SQL State Unknown" occurs.
Expected Behavior:
The ability to generate reports or drill down in SMI if comments are over 255 characters.
