"Invalid Path Specified for Work Drive"

"Invalid Path Specified for Work Drive" on Citrix or Terminal Servers.

Possible Resolution:

The FRx Designer work drive setting is C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Temp by default. On Citrix and Terminal Servers, this is not a shared directory and permissions to this directory may cause the "Invalid Path" Error.

On Citrix and Terminal Servers, a TEMP directory is created for each session and the TEMP environment variable is set accordingly. When the WorkDrive path changes, FRx stores the path in the FRX.INI file. The default path for the Optional Work Drive in Admin Processing Options and the FRX.INI Workdrive path must be changed.

To resolve this error, a shared directory should be created for all users with modify rights:

1. Create a new shared directory on the Terminal Services or Citrix server or network server.
2. Start Microsoft FRx Designer.
3. Click Admin and Processing Options.
4. Change the Optional Work Drive path to the new shared directory.
5. Using Windows Explorer, browse to the users C:\Documents and Settings\Local Settings\Application Data\FRx Software\FRx 6.7 folder.
6. Locate FRX.INI and open it in Notepad.
7. Change the value on the WorkDrive line (located under the [Network] section) to the directory path above.
8. Save and close the FRX.INI file.
9. If specific users still receive the error, change the WorkDrive path in the FRX.INI file for the user or users having the problem. See the following for more information: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/965527.
