Subject:

"Error in function: dAddPortMonitor, Error code 126" when installing Microsoft FRx in a Windows Vista Ultimate

Steps to Duplicate:

In Microsoft FRx

  1. Install FRx 6.7 R06. Before opening FRx, I install SP9.111 (which is the first FRx sp certified on Vista).
  2. Install SP10 and during the installation, error will display
  3. Click 'OK' button on the Error, will receive a message: `Configuring System, please wait.'
  4. The installation then continues and will receive the `Installation Completed' message.
  5. Click Finish
  6. Open FRx and create all Administrative info: Registration, User, Company Setup, etc.
  7. Create Rows, Columns, Trees and Report Catalogs.
  8. Able to successfully generate Posted, Unposted and Provisional reports and run the Report Wizard.
  9. Able to run Report Manager, create a Book Name and insert a Report that was created in the Designer
  10. Generated the report, the correct information was displayed.

Expected Behavior:

Error should not display during FRx Install.

Possible Workaround:

Ignore the error and installation will still continue with no errors or issues.
