Error 9: "Subscript out of range" occurs when exporting a report to Microsoft Excel in FRx if using Page Footers on the catalog.
Steps to Duplicate:
In FW company:
- Open FRx Desktop.
- On the Catalog of Reports menu, point to Page Options, and then click Headers and Footers.
- Create footer information, and save the catalog.
- Generate the report.
- In the Drilldown Viewer, click File, Export, Worksheet File, and then click Formatted Excel (XlS, XLSX).
- Save the report to the desired location.
- Click Save, and notice that Error 9: "Subscript out of range" occurs.
Expected Behavior:
Exporting reports to Microsoft Excel should not generate an error message.
Possible Workaround:
SMR #24177 - Error 9 when exporting to Excel and there are footers in the Catalog:
- Take out the double underscore at the end of the row format
- Uncheck the export formulas option
- Uncheck the Print Headings worksheet option
- Remove all Footers from the catalog.
SMR #24077 - Error 9 when exporting to Excel and a TOT or CAL row referencing a blank row.
- Uncheck the export formulas option in the catalog
