Consolidated Income Statement displays data for the incorrect year on the detail level. The issue occurs when using period dates if the calendar year and fiscal year data are combined. The issue occurs on versions 6.7.7032 and 6.7.8069.
Steps to Duplicate:
In ABC company in Sage MAS 90:
- On the Tasks tab, expand Modules, Library Master, and then Main. Double-click Company Maintenance, and perform the following steps:
- Create Company Code AB2.
- Copy the ABC General Ledger data to the AB2 company.
- Open the AB2 company.
- Expand General Ledger, and then Setup. Double-click Fiscal Year Maintenance.
- Setup Fiscal Year 2011 with a Starting Date of 3/1/2010 and an Ending Date of 2/28/2011.
- Expand General Ledger and then Main. Double-click General Journal Entry.
- Post a General Journal Entry with the following selections:
- Date = 5/31/2009
- Debit $100 to account 105-00-01
- Credit $100 to account 400-01-00
In FRx:
- Expand Company and then Information. Setup ABC and AB2.
- Select AB2 as the default company.
- On the File menu, point to New, and click Row.
- On the Edit menu, click Add Rows from Chart of Accounts.
- In the Account Range Start field, in the Main column, type 400.
- In the Account Range End field, in the Main column, type 770.
- In the Account Mask field, under the Department and Location columns, delete the number signs (##).
- Click the OK button.
- On the File menu, click Save As. In the Name field, type FRx Test, and click the OK button.
- On the File menu, point to New, and click Column. Enter the following:
- Column A: DESC
- Column B: GL, Actual, Base, Base, CUR
- Column C: GL, Actual, Base, Base, YTD
- On the File menu, click Save As. In the Name field, type FRx Test, and click the OK button.
- On the File menu, point to New, and click Tree. Enter the following:
- Column B Rows 1-3: @ANY, AB2, ABC
- Column C Rows 1-3: Summary, AB2, ABC
- Column D Rows 1-3: Consolidated Income Statement, AB2-Fiscal Year, ABC-Calendar Year
- Column G Rows 2-3: &&&-??-??, &&&-??-??
- On the File menu, click Save As. In the Name field, type FRx Test, and click the OK button.
- On the File menu, point to New, and click Catalog. In the Catalog ID field, type FRx Test.
- In the Detail level list, select Financial & Transaction, and click OK.
- In the Row Format list, select FRx Test, and click OK.
- In the Column Layout list, select FRx Test, and click OK.
- Select the Use reporting tree: check box.
- In the Reporting tree list, select FRx Test, and click OK.
- In the Report Date list, set the base period to 3, and the base year to 2011. Click the OK button.
- Click the Report Options tab, click the Advanced tab, and select Period dates as the Rollup basis.
- Click the Save button.
- Click the Generate Report button.
- Click the Mark All button, and then click the OK button.
- Double-click Consolidated Income Statement, double-click Distribution sales (history), double-click Distribution sales (history) Fiscal Year - Distribution sales (history), and then double-click 400-01-00 Distribution sales (history). The Journal Entry number and the posting date of 5/31/2009 display with the amount of $100.00 dollars.
Expected Behavior:
FRx should display data for the correct year on the transaction level of the Consolidated Income Statement.
Possible Workaround:
- Set the fiscal year company as the default company in the FRx Designer:
- Expand Company, and click Select Default.
- Select the fiscal year company, and click the OK button.
- Select the fiscal year company from the Company drop-down box in the Catalog:
- On the File menu, point to Open, and click Catalog. Select the applicable Catalog ID.
- Click the Company arrow, and select the fiscal year company.
- Click the Ok button, and then the Save button.
