"Caution: You have a detail level unit in the reporting tree without a GL account template or a worksheet file. Either delete this unit or assign a template or worksheet file. Unit=[XXX:unit]" appears when generating a report (XXX = company code, unit = unit code from tree).

Possible Resolution:

Either a unit in the tree is missing an account mask, or a unit is using an external worksheet, but the report has not been set up to use worksheet links from the reporting tree.

1. Open the reporting tree used in the affected report.
2. Examine the unit listed in the error.
• Enter the account mask if applicable.
• If the unit should use an external worksheet, select the appropriate Ext File (column T) and Ext Link (column W).
• If the unit should be a parent unit rather than a detail unit, promote the unit to the appropriate level and location in the tree.
3. Save the tree.
4. If the report uses external worksheets:
1. Click the Building Blocks tab.
2. Select the Use Row Format(s) and Worksheet Links from Reporting Tree check box.
3. Save the catalog.
5. Generate the report again.
