"Invalid output file name. Output file name <path>" occurs when generating a report to the DrillDown Viewer.

Possible Resolution:

The path to the .FRD file is invalid. To resolve this issue, specify a valid path to the .FRD file.

  1. Select File / Open / Catalog.
  2. Select the report, and click the 'OK' button.
  3. Click the 'Output' tab.
  4. In the 'File name' field, enter a valid path.
  5. Click the 'Save' button.
  6. Click the 'Generate' button.
