"(Check OFSI Connection):5 invalid procedure call or argument" when setting the company as default or attempting to rebuild the GL index.

Possible Resolution:

Either the short-date style format in Regional Settings is incorrect, or an invalid date exists in the Period Dates file in Sage PFW.

To correct the regional settings:

  1. Click the 'Start' button, then select Settings / Control Panel.
  2. Double-click 'Regional Options'.
  3. Click the 'Date' tab.
  4. In the 'Short date format' drop-down box, select "m/d/yyyy".
  5. Click the 'OK' or 'APPLY' button to save.

To correct the Period Dates file:

In Sage PFW, correct any inconsistent or invalid dates in the Period Dates file. For more information see How to set up General Ledger Period Dates.
