How to create a DSN for FRx 6.5 with Sage MAS 90 and 200 version 4.0

Possible Resolution:
FRx for Sage MAS 90, Sage MAS 200 4.x and higher

  1. In FRx, select  Company / Information / System Specific Information and click 'Define'.
  2. Select 'Add' on the 'User DSN' tab.
  3. Select 'Sage MAS 90 32-Bit ODBC Driver' (MAS 90 4.0 ODBC Driver if using 4.10 or higher) and click 'Finish'.
  4. On the 'Basic' tab, enter a Data source name and Description.
  5. Enter the path to the \MAS90\ directory.
  6. Select the 'Options' tab.
  7. Enter the path to \MAS90\SOA\ (including the back slash)directory in the 'Prefix' field.
  8. Enter the path to \MAS90\Home\ (including the back slash) directory in the 'Views DLL' field.
  9. Select 'Dirty Read' and 'Burst mode'.
  10. Select 'Apply'.
  11. Select 'OK'

FRx for Sage MAS 500 & MAS 200 SQL:

  1. In FRx, select  Company / Information / System Specific Information and click 'Define'.
  2. Select 'Add' on the 'System DSN' tab.
  3. Select "SQL Server" for the driver
  4. Enter a Data source name and Description then select the SQL Server where the MAS 500 databases reside and click Next
  5. Select either "With Windows NT authentication using the network ID" or "With SQL Server authentication using a login ID and password entered by the user"
    Note: This is a valid SQL Server User - not necessarily the MAS 500 user,  NOTE for MAS200 SQL: The user must be set up on the SQL Server AND in MAS 200.
  6. Click 'Next', make sure you have the user name and password entered on the screen if  SQL Server authentication was selected.
  7. Click 'Change the default database to:' and select the correct MAS 500 application database
  8. Click 'Next', 'Finish', 'OK' and 'OK'
  9. In FRx using the drop down in the 'Data Source Name' to select the DSN created in the previous steps.
