How to add or remove the F9 toolbar in Excel

Possible Resolution:
To add the F9 toolbar in Excel (if you had an earlier installation of F9):

  1. Open F9 menu / Options and make sure that the Rebuild Toolbar check box is selected.
  2. Open Tools / Addins and clear the F9 check box.
  3. Open View / Toolbars and clear the F9 check box.
  4. Open View / Toolbars / Customize and delete the F9 Tools selection.
  5. Close Excel
  6. Reopen Excel and add F9 (from the Tools menu, select Addins and browse to F9.XLL).
  7. Open the F9bmp32.xls file
  8. Click the Press Me button.
  9. Close the file

To add the F9 toolbar in Excel-new installation of F9:

  1. Select Options from the F9 menu and make sure that the Rebuild Toolbar check box is selected.
  2. Select Tools / Addins and check the F9 Financial Reporter box.

To remove the F9 toolbar from Excel:

  1. Select Tools / Addins and uncheck the F9 Financial Reporter box.
