How to Create and Link the template to the SMI Report Manager.

Possible Resolution:

  1. Expand MAS Intelligence, Tools, Report Manager.
  2. Expand the Financial's folder and Copy a Report.
  3. Create a new Folder and Paste the Report. (Note: You can only create and link templates with copies of reports. You cannot use this feature with the Standard SMI Reports).
  4. Run the Report.
  5. In Excel, edit the template as needed.
  6. Minimize Excel.
  7. In Report Manager there are two way to Create and Link the Template.
    • Right-Click the copied report and select Create and Link Template.
    • Highlight the copied report and click on the 'Create and Link Template' icon on the toolbar.
  8. Select the Excel worksheet .xlsx and click 'OK'.
  9. Click 'OK' to accept the template name.
    • By default the template name is the same as the report name.
    • It is recommended that you keep the template name and report name the same.
  10. Click 'Yes' to replace the existing template file.
  11. Click 'OK' to the message that the template was created successfully and linked to the report.
  12. The Excel Workbook will automatically close when complete.
