How to Consolidate multiple companies with different GL Charts of Accounts.Possible Resolution:
(Examples using MAS 90/200)
In MAS 90, ABC & XYZ Demo Companies use Different GL Charts of Accounts. The user may also need to identify which accounts from each company roll up into a line.
- Expand MAS Intelligence, Tools, Report Manager (Consolidations).
- Expand the Designer Folder.
- The Consol. Financial Reports Designer Report can be used to Consolidate Companies using Different GL Charts of Accounts. This report is specifically designed to pull through multiple data bases:

- To select which databases you would like to see added to your report, select the 'Browse' button at the end of the 'Database Consolidation List' field.

- Once the appropriate databases have been selected, click the 'OK' button and run the report. In this example, we are running the report for the ABC and XYZ Companies:

- In the Graphic above, you can see that the company name has the names of all companies selected. This allows for the grouping of company detail via the Report Designer interface. In the Report Designer, select any layout to Edit.
- In the top right-hand corner, you will see the 'Group by..' field. When selected, the screen will darken, allowing access to the available column fields.
- Find the 'COMPANYNAME' field, and click on it once. This will create a grouping of the company information, one for each company.

- When the report layout is generated, the financial information is grouped in columns according to the relevant company.
