BI Tools is missing when running Report Designer reports in Sage MAS Intelligence.

Possible Resolution:

Note: The SMI Designer module must be purchased , you must be generating a Designer type of Financial Report and version of Excel must be 2007 or higher (32-bit versions).

  1. Go to My Computer and right click and select Properties.
  2. Click on the Advanced tab and click Environment Variables button.
  3. If the VSTO_SUPPRESSDISPLAYALERTS variable does not already exist, click on New and add the following System Variable:

  5. Open Excel and follow the steps in the Related Article below.

Note: If this does not resolve the issue and the BI Tools tabs are still missing, most likely the SMI installation was not done correctly or corruption occurred. To resolve, uninstall and reinstall the SMI
