Possible Resolution:

Databases that reside on a different server other than the one used to update SMI using the SMI Database Utility would require a manual entry of 'Server Name:' and 'Database Name:' in the Sage MAS 500 Intelligence Databas Sign On - Sage MAS 500' screen.

For example, if 'Server Name ' is 'server1' and 'Database Name' is 'mas500_app', then manually enter 'server1' for 'Server Name' and 'mas500_app' for 'Database Name'.
