DrillDown Viewer Displays a Blank Screen or Does not Allow Drilling into Units of the Tree After a Report is Opened in FRx. This problem occurs when FRx is unable to read the Windows Appearance settings.

Possible Resolution:

  1. Minimize all windows and applications.
  2. Close the DrillDown Viewer if it is open.
  3. Right-click on the desktop and then click Properties.
  4. Click the Appearance tab.
  5. Re-select the style and scheme settings based on your operating system.
  6. If you are using Windows 2000, re-select the scheme shown in the Scheme box (or select one if the box is empty), and then click Apply.
  7.  If you are using Windows XP, re-select the style in the Windows and buttons box and the color scheme in the Color scheme box (or make a selection if either of the boxes is empty), and then click Apply.
  8. Open the DrillDown Viewer and then open a DrillDown file. If the report is displayed, no further changes are required. If the issue is not resolved review steps 9-10.
  9. Click on the Settings tab. In the Colors drop-down box (this box is labeled Color quality on Windows XP), select High Color (16 bit) (Medium (16 bit) on Windows XP),and then click Apply.
  10. Open the DrillDown Viewer, and then open a DrillDown file. If the report is displayed, no further changes are required. If a color-depth higher than 16-bit is desired, experiment with other color settings until the desired settings are attained and the DrillDown Viewer displays reports correctly.
