Expected Behavior:

The FRx 6.7 (R06) CD should install without error.

Possible Workaround:

  1. Due to the End of Life for FRX by Microsoft, please contact your business partner for
    Hot fix file FSPFW5160.dll.
  2. Another option is to copy the FSPFW5160.DLL file from another workstation that is not currently displaying this error to the problem workstation.
    The FSPFW5160.Dll  file is most commonly found in the C:\Program Files\FRX Software\FRX 67directory.
  3. The FSPFW5160.Dll can also be found on the FRX 6.7 SP1 CD and copied to the problem workstation.

Before installing this hotfix, thoroughly read this article.

This hotfix is intended for use with the Standard (not Premier) installation of Microsoft FRx 6.7 R06670 (6.7.6062) for Sage PFW.

First, determine your version of Microsoft FRx:

  1. Start Microsoft FRx Report Designer.
  2. Select Help / About.
  3. Install this hotfix only if the version displays as Microsoft FRx 6.7 R06670 (6.7.6062).
    Note: Do not install this hotfix if the version is FRx Financial Reporter 6.0, 6.5, or any other version of Microsoft FRx 6.7.

This hotfix resolves an installation issue where the SMR 23765 - Sage PFW Standard installation issue did not install the FSPFW5160.dll file.

To install this hotfix:

  1. Use Windows Explorer to browse to the directory that contains FRx program files.
  2. Copy the new FSPFW5160.dll from the hotfix .zip file to the FRx directory.
  3. Register the FSPFW5160.dll file by double-clicking the FRxReg.exe file, which is also located in the FRx directory.
  4. If all FRx users run FRx from the same network location, the hotfix installation is complete.  Otherwise, repeat steps 1 - 4 for all other FRx installations.
