Special format masks in the column format overrides the 'Display blanks for zero amounts' option
Entry Type: Informational
Product: FRx
Application: FRx Desktop
Version Reported: 6.7
Subject:
Special format masks in the column format overrides the 'Display blanks for zero amounts' option within the catalog.
Possible Resolution:
FRx is designed so that row formatting overrides column formatting, and row and column formatting overrides all formatting specified in the catalog. When a special format mask is used in a column, the format specified for that column overrides any format settings specified in the catalog. To display blanks for zeros in columns or rows that have a special format mask specified, change the format to a three-part mask, where the third part of the mask specifies how to format amounts that are zero, for example: "#,##0;(#,##0);" ".
- In FRx, select File / Open / Column.
- Select the column layout, and click the 'OK' button.
- In the 'Special Format Mask' field, edit the mask to include ;" " to the end of the existing masks.
- Click the 'Save' button.
