"Table failed to open. Error 200 application defined or object defined. Error 381." occurs when generating a report after upgrading from FRx version 5.5 to version 6.7.

Possible Resolution:

In FRx version 5.5, the default file name extension for generated reports to the Drilldown Viewer is .frv or .frz. Starting in version 6.0, the file type was changed to an XML based output file with an extension of .frd. In some upgrade situations, the file type is updated to DrillDown Viewer Enhanced XML, but the file extension on the file name is not updated to .frd. When the DrillDown viewer open the file, the old file type is used and causes the error. To resolve the error, change the file extension to .FRD

  1. Select File / Open / Catalog.
  2. Select the catalog, and click the 'OK' button.
  3. Click the 'Output' tab.
  4. In the 'File name' field, change the extension to .FRD.
  5. Click the 'Save' button.
