Subject:

"A Direct Link Error has occurred while retrieving transaction information from the database" occurs when generating a report.

Steps to Duplicate:

Note: Sage Software Support cannot duplicate this issue with demo data. The following steps are based on a reported case.

Setup a new company in FRx for company ESS.
Open File / New / Row Format. Select natural account '111' in the 'Link to General Ledger' section. Save the row format.
Open File / New / Column. Create a column layout containing the following:
Column A :desc
Column B: GL,Actual, Base, Base, CUR
Column C: GL, Actual, Base, Base, YTD
Create a catalog, using the building blocks from the previous steps.
Generate the report to the transaction level for 04/31/2004.
Note that the error occurs.
Click 'OK'.
Note that the report generates and the DrillDown Viewer launches.
Drill down into the transaction level of the first account listed (111-00-0100).
Note that transaction detail is not included in the report.

Expected Behavior:

The report should generate without errors.
