FRx does not allow functionality to cross years within a range of periods.  For example, if the column specified -5 TO BASE in the Period Code field in a column and the report is run for period 2, the error message will be received.

Possible Resolution:
This functionality can be achieved by using multiple GL columns and adding them together with a CALC column.
