Possible Resolution(s):
There are two methods for installing FRx on a Citrix / Terminal server. There are no advantages or disadvantages to either method - both have the same results.
Method 1:
- Login to the Terminal Services/Citrix server as an administrative user.
- Open the Windows Control Panel.
- Select the 'Add/Remove Programs' icon.
- On Windows NT Terminal Server, select 'Install'. On Windows 2000 Server, select 'Add New Programs' and then select the CD or Floppy button.
- If installing FRx from the CD, insert the CD and click Next, then skip to step 7. If installing from a network location, click 'Next' and wait for the 'Run Installation Window' to appear.
- Type or select the path to the setup.exe (FRxSetup.exe for FRx 6.5 and later) file for the FRx installation, and then select 'Next'. On Windows NT Terminal Server, select 'All users begin with common application settings' and then select 'Next'.
- Install FRx normally.
- After installation, select 'Next', and then select 'Finish' (Windows NT Terminal Server) or simply close the Add/Remove Programs window (Windows 2000 Server).
Method 2:
- Login to the Terminal Services/Citrix server as an administrative user. Login at the console or through a remote session using the Terminal Services or Citrix ICA client.
- Open a command prompt. From the prompt, type change user / install and press 'Enter'.
- If installing FRx from CD, insert the CD. If installing from a network location, browse to the setup.exe or FRxSetup.exe file, and then double-click on it.
- Install FRx normally.
- After the installation is complete, switch back to the command prompt. From the prompt, type change user / execute and press 'Enter'.
