Subject:

How to copy reports from one workstation to another in FRx.

Possible Resolution:

The FRXRPTS.F32 file that is located in the Sysdata folder holds all of the row, column, and catalog ids in FRx. To transfer FRx reports from one workstation to another, the FRXRPTS.F32 can be copied (using the copy function in Windows Explorer) and pasted into the Sysdata folder on the new workstation. If the destination workstation currently has an FRXRPTS.F32 file, this file should be renamed before the copy is placed on the workstation. The destination workstation now has only the reports that were created in the original FRXRPTS.F32. Any other reports are lost due to the renaming of the previous FRXRPTS.F32 file.

To export and import the rows, columns, trees and catalogs into an already existing .f32 file:

Export:

  1. Open Company / Specification Set.
  2. Select the correct specification set by using the black arrows.
  3. Click the 'Export' button.
  4. Select all or some of the building blocks to export.
  5. This creates an frxexp.tdb file in the IO_DATA folder.

Import:

  1. Open Company / Specification.
  2. Select the correct specification set by using the black arrows.
  3. Click the 'Import' button.
  4. Browse to the .tdb file you want to import.
  5. Save the specification set after importing.
