F9 is a third party product that allows you to create custom financial statements using Microsoft Excel. F9 exports Sage BusinessWorks General Ledger information directly into the spreadsheet program. F9 provides more customized financial reporting. Sage BusinessWorks Customer Support can assist with the F9 installation and verify you can access Sage BusinessWorks data using the F9 functions; however, analysts cannot help create F9 reports. To begin using F9 with Sage BusinessWorks, please review the following information:
- Check the Sage BusinessWorks and F9 system requirements. Verify the versions of Sage BusinessWorks and F9 are current and compatible.
- Install F9. Please see the F9 installation instructions.
- F9 supplies sample spreadsheets to be modified for use with your company data. These sample spreadsheet files reside in the directory where F9 was installed.
- F9 also has a 'G/L Wizard and Report Wizard', accessible from the F9 menu. The wizard helps to create simple spreadsheets that you can embellish on.
- General Ledger data imports into the spreadsheet by using special F9 functions. These functions are in the formulas. Please see F9 Help for additional information on these formulas.
